| Ignore the Chaotic one - most people do. Welcome Pinkies. All I can say is I'm glad you stated your are male and female, 'cause at first glance Paul & Chris in a team called Pink People camping in one tent for a week had the alarm bells ringing! Now let's see - 110 don't leak oil, fuel-wise they are very ecomical, a roof rack doesn't create any drag whatsoever, the seats are so comfy they are like armchairs. Anything else to add folks??????Don't worry, I would say a good third of the teams in last year's innagural run were virgins too, and I see this year as being similar. Also, there were a fair few into bikes, so doubtless you'll be in good company. Put it this way, the sea of smiling faces meant we had to be doing something right, rest assured help will always be on hand. |

They're real quiet, handle superbly on fast corners, have no trouble accellerating up any of the mountain roads, and you've got great visibility for overtaking when driving on the right.

Indeed. Last year I swapped 2 wheels for 4 to co-drive on the rally, and enjoyed it so much I bought my own landy to go again this year.
You'll wish you were on the bikes for some of the roads, though. Twisties and gorges, and twisties in gorges. Hmmmm..... |

Anything else to add folks?????? Am I a sceptic, but we are only getting 420 miles to the tank full, roof rack to be fitted yet As for the seat being comfy, are you compairing with other land rovers?? andy bloke wrote They're real quiet, handle superbly on fast corners, have no trouble accellerating up any of the mountain roads, and you've got great visibility for overtaking when driving on the right. I do not consider it quiet :face: but then this is our first year with the landy! As for handleing around corners, it was like a barge in a heavy swell :?: untill we put anti roll bars on. Thanks for the warm welcome we are looking forward to the rally. chris & paul |

That'd be a 70L tank, then? Depressing, isn't it? Just don't do the maths for the whole rally.

| Hi there, the only time I put a spanner on my 200,000 + mile disco last year was when the T box stopped leaking oil in Andora. So I topped it up with about 1/2 litre and it started to leak again so we were all happy again. I just treat it like a spy glass. No leaks = no oil . Oil = leaks. I can't see a problem there. It's a Landy thing some wouldn't understand it. |
