| Hi there, well, there will be at least one team form Thames Valley 4X4 Club this year. It will myself and better half, Carrie. So keep your elbows in. Other people in the club have expressed an interest so we will just have to see how many in the end. My poor old Disco will be doing the honours again, so if I start prepping it now it should be ready for September. The itinary sounds a whole lot more interesting this year, so good for you Tom. Hope to get up to Donnington this year, got to buy a new tent and hope to enter the inter-club challenge, so should see a few of you there. Cheers LuckyTrucker |

| Spose I need to explain to those who don't know us. Team thames Valley 4x4 Club took part in the 2007 event. In the team were an old mate of mine and Tom's, APD and 4x4 Bun my daughter. So off we go from Calais to the booze wharehouse and that was where the Pukka Posse was formed. 7 of us initially latter to become 8. One of the other teams were The RoadHogs, a couple of firemen (Jon and Al) from Kent. Well we all got on really well, rarley stopped laughing. Well, I wasn't aware of anything going on between Emma and Jon but after the rally they became inseprable and Emma was on a holiday in Canada and you would not believe the phone bills they struck. Well they are now well and truly married. So it could be called the Landy Rally Marriage Beaureux. LOCK UP YOUR DAUGHTERS Seriously though, Jon is most definatly one of the good guys and I am very pleased to have him as a son in law. Cheers |

| Hi Jon, I am sorry we won't be making Donnington. We have a work party going on that week-end at our home site. Just a bit of maintenance on a few of the holes. I am not looking for a roof tent, to worried about falling out of it or falling down the steps. Have been looking at the quickly built Oz Tent. Do you do them and what do you reckon about them. A bit dear I know, but is the quality there? |

I wasnt thinking about the roof tents... We do a pretty decent ground tent that has an opening beg enough to engulf the rear of a Defender (never tried a Disco). Gives you 10ft x 10ft ground sheet, 7ft headroom in the middle and can get into the car without going outside. They can also be used stand-alone, i.e. without the car!
As for the Oz tents - some people love'em some hate'em. I can see both sides but have never used one in anger. Concept is good though.
Shame we'll not get to see you at Donnington... Are you venturing North to Driffield in May? |
